A man from Trondheim has been arrested and charged with sexual intercourse with several young boys about ten years ago.
After one victim recently reported the man, the police uncovered several additional victims in the case, and on Tuesday, he was arrested, newspaper Adresseavisen reports.
On Thursday, the man will appear in front of the Sør-Trøndelag District Court, charged with sexual intercourse with children under 14 years.
All the victims are now adult men but were under 14 years old when the abuse allegedly took place.
“We are in the initial phase of the investigation… We believe there is a risk of evidence being lost. Therefore we want to remand the man in custody for four weeks with a letter and implement a ban on visits,” police attorney Kjersti Hegerberg in Trøndelag Police District noted.
The man’s lawyer Frode Wisth says his client denies criminal guilt.
