Tom Ketil Krogstad, owner of the sex club Club 4 in Trondheim, is charged with pimping. The trial will start in Trøndelag District Court on Tuesday.

Krogstad is accused of having mediated contact between prostitutes and sex customers and/or made premises available for prostitution.

The pimping activity allegedly took place from September 2016 to January 2019.

Krogstad was arrested and charged in October last year. He was questioned and then released.

“I have had good contact with my client, and he does not admit guilt. He is looking forward to the main hearing so that he can clear his name,” Krogstad’s defender, lawyer Farhad Shæriæti, told newspaper Adresseavisen in April.

Previous convictions

Krogstad runs the sex club Club 4 in Trondheim and is part owner of the Erotikk1 chain.

In 2001, Krogstad was sentenced to one year and four months in prison for pimping and illegal alcohol serving. The Court of Appeal upheld the verdict one year later.

Trøndelag District Court has set aside three days for the case.
