A truck driver has been deprived of his driving license and charged with violating the Road Traffic Act after a female cyclist died in a collision in Oslo.

Police attorney Bengte Vengstad confirmed the information to the newspaper Avisa Oslo.

The man was charged with violating section 3 of the Road Traffic Act on driving carefully, cautiously, and considerately in traffic.

A woman in her late 50s died on Thursday after ending up under a truck in Ullevålsveien on St. Hanshaugen.

The police are still investigating the case and are waiting, among other things, for test results on possible intoxication. They’re also reviewing video footage from the area.
