The subway will be closed between Grønland and Majorstuen during Easter, and travellers are encouraged to find alternative routes.

Sporveien will carry out maintenance and upgrade work on the infrastructure in the center and use what is traditionally a quieter period with fewer travellers to do this, so that as few as possible are affected wrote ‘Ruter’ in a press release.

‘’Those who plan to travel by subway at Easter are encouraged to consider alternative travel routes and calculate a little extra good time’’ urged press officer, Øystein Dahl Johansen on Ruter.

The subway closes for maintenance between Majorstuen and Grønland and between Carl Berners plass and Sinsen from Saturday 13 April to Monday 22 April.

All lines have changed departure times, but it will be possible to get updated information about departures on ruter.no or in Ruter’s travel app.

The stations Jernbanetorget, Stortinget and Nationalteatret will not be functional at Easter.

There will be Sunday routes for all transport on Thursday, Good Friday, and the 1st and 2nd Easter days. The night buses run at night for all holidays. Easter Eve will run Saturday routes for all means of transport.
