Small group in the army was behind the attempted coup and they got a deserved response from the Turkish people, according to a statement from Turkey’s embassy in Oslo.

– The situation that took place in Turkey was a coup attempt to throw the democratically elected government. This attempt was stopped by a united and solidary of Turkish population. Our president and government have the power, mentioned by the statement from embassy.

– The armed Turkish forces were not involved in the attempted coup at all. It was carried out by a unit within the army and they got a deserved response from our nation, mentioned also in the statement from embassy.
