Twelve men and one woman were killed in helicopter accident

Twelve men and one woman aged 32 to 60 years were killed in the helicopter accident at Turøy west of Bergen, Western Police District said.

Eleven Norwegians, one Briton and one Italian were on board the helicopter, which belongs to CHC Helicopter Service.
Two of the people who died were pilots in the helicopter company. The other people on board the helicopter were oil workers from six different companies: Statoil, Halliburton, Aker Solutions, Schlumberger, WellTec and Karsten Moholt.
Five of them were living in Bergen. Four were from other parts of Hordaland, respectively Tysnes, Os, Sund and Øygarden. Three were from Rogaland, respectively Stavanger, Sandnes and Jørpeland. The Briton was resident in the UK.
The helicopter was on its way from Gullfaks B operated by Statoil, when it crashed.
