Twelve people in Drammen Municipality have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The route of infection is currently unknown for two cases.

In the last two weeks, 193 new cases of corona infection have been detected. This is the first time this number is below 200 cases in over a month and a half, Drammen Municipality stated.

“It is positive that the number is declining, but it is a bit concerning that more than half of these cases have been registered in the last seven days,” municipal chief physician John David Johannessen said.

On Tuesday, Drammen authorities adopted a new local regulation to limit the spread of coronavirus in the Municipality.

The measures are being enforced in addition to the regional measures that the Norwegian government has put in place for Drammen Municipality.
