Two Extinction Rebellion activists have been fined NOK 16,000 in the Court of Appeal after a demonstration in Oslo in September of 2020.

The men were each fined NOK 17,000 for stopping traffic in central Oslo as part of a demonstration by the climate activists in Extinction Rebellion.

The two did not accept the fines and were sentenced in Oslo District Court to pay NOK 13,000 kroner.

Both appealed the verdict, and the Borgarting Court of Appeal has come to the conclusion that the men must pay NOK 16,000 each.
