Two passengers on the Fjordline ferry between Hirtshals and Langesund have been confirmed infected with the Coronavirus.

The passengers were on the ship’s departure from Hirtshals at 9 o’clock on Friday, the 14th of August, the newspaper VG writes.

– “We have been informed by FHI that the risk of infection is low since they have used face masks and been in their cabin throughout the crossing,” says press contact Rickard Ternblom, CEO of Fjordline.

Ternblom tells Dagbladet that it is a married couple who are infected.

On Saturday night, he did not have an overview of how many passengers were on board this departure in question.

– “But all passengers have received an SMS from us with this information. This was written by FHI and further sent by us, and contains information about the situation,” says Ternblom.

Fjordline continues to work on contacting all passengers on board the affected crossing, while FHI conducts infection tracking.
