Only two out of five Norwegians wear a helmet when cycling. And it is the young people who are most careles.

In the age group 18-34 years report 27 percent said they use a helmet. Out of all those surveyed, one in ten states vanity to be the reason for their choice, according to a survey conducted for Road Safety and Nikita Hair.
However, the most common reason for not wearing a helmet when riding their bikes is that the respondent simply does not have a helmet – which applies to almost half of the respondents.
