A man in his 40s has been shot and injured in an apartment on Carl Berner in Oslo. Two men have been arrested, and the police do not rule out more arrests.

The shooting took place in an apartment between Carl Berner and Torshov in Oslo on Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 10 pm last night, the police informed that two men had been arrested.

– “They have both been arrested in the city of Oslo, but we believe that more may be involved, so the investigation is ongoing, and we do not rule out more arrests,” says operations manager André Kråkenes to NTB.

Kråkenes could not provide further information for the sake of the investigation. Whether there is any relationship between the victim and the arrested is not known to the public.

At the scene earlier Tuesday, the police stated that there had been three people in the apartment, as well as the injured.

Not life-threatening injuries
“The man who was injured in the incident is in his 40s and is not life-threatening,” police chief Thomas Broberg said.

– “The man had gunshot wounds to one arm. The latest reports indicate that it is not critical,” says Broberg.

The injured was transported to hospital by ambulance after the incident.

More findings
An extensive police operation was launched in the area after the report of the shooting episode. Heavily armed police were on the scene.

At least seven police patrols and the Delta group have searched several floors of the apartment block where the man was shot.

– “At the scene, we have made several findings that will be investigated further by forensic technicians,” Broberg stated.
