One man has been charged with attempted murder, and another with complicity in bodily injury, after an 18-year-old was shot in the leg at Holmlia center in 2018.

The then 18-year-old man was hit in the thigh, so that the femoral artery was completely or partially torn over. He survived after receiving life-saving treatment.

A man in his 20s has now been charged with attempted murder in connection with the episode. At the same time, another man in his 20s is charged with bodily injury or complicity in bodily injury.

According to the indictment, the accused had called his accomplice a few days ago and asked him to find the victim and give him a beating. He is now charged with attempted murder.
The accused was wanted by the police who issued his name and photo, before he reported himself a few days after the shooting.

In the first prison meeting, he is said to have claimed that the shot was fired by accident.

“It appeared that the weapon had been fired while he was holding it, but he said that he had no intention of trying to kill anyone”, police lawyer Pål-Fredrik Hjort Kraby told NRK after the prison meeting at the time.

The case will come up in Oslo District Court on 16 February next year. Six days have been set aside for the trial.
