Two men in their 40s are accused of growing 47 cannabis plants at an address in central Oslo.

In the dried state, the plants weighed a total of about 6.2 kilos.

The police describe the violation as serious because special emphasis is placed on the type of substance in question, as well as the amount.

In addition, the two are accused of having tried to grow another 60 cannabis plants. Police seized extensive equipment used to grow the plants.

The case will go before the Oslo District Court on Tuesday next week, and two days have been set aside for the trial.
