Two men stabbed in Tønsberg, one suspect arrested
A man has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed at an address just outside Tønsberg center early Thursday morning.
The police were notified of the incident at 4:08 AM.
“It was the victim who called and reported he had been stabbed. The man, who is in his 50s, turned out to be seriously injured, and he was taken to the hospital in Tønsberg,” operations manager Erik Gunnerød in the Southeastern Police District told NTB.
A suspect was apprehended at an address not far from the scene just before 5 AM.
“It’s a man in his 40s.”
Two incidents
There were two stabbing incidents in Tønsberg last night. At 00:48, a man was stabbed at a nightclub in the city. He ended up in the hospital.
He was awake and conscious and not life-threateningly injured, according to the police. The perpetrator was arrested after a short time.
“The two cases are not connected,” the operations manager added.
