The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense claims to have inflicted heavy losses on the Russians and says that 2,800 Russian soldiers were “lost” in the war in Ukraine.

It is not clear from the statement whether the Russian soldiers were killed, wounded, or captured. The figures have not been verified by independent sources.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense also claims that up to 80 tanks, more than 500 other ground vehicles, ten aircraft, and seven helicopters have been destroyed.

The death toll for soldiers and civilians is impossible to confirm as the two parties publish different figures. Russia claims it has not suffered any significant losses.

Ukraine has previously claimed that more than 1,000 Russian “attackers” have been killed.

“We are strong! The victory will be ours,” the latest statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated.

Served several combat tours during the Vietnam conflict. Believe me, you can not believe anything that either side says for the most part. Lots of huffing and puffing.
