Norway is considering introducing controls at the border – it could happen shortly, Minister of Justice Emilie Enger Mehl (SP) said on Friday.
“We will follow the border even more closely in the future. We will consider introducing border controls,” Mehl said at Friday’s press conference on the war in Ukraine.
“It may come very soon, but it is important to do this after a thorough assessment. It is a question of resources.
“We must consider whether it is right to use police resources to check everyone who crosses the border,” she said.
