Ukraine’s ambassador to Norway again asked Norway for military support so that Ukraine could defend itself in the war against Russia.

The Ukrainian ambassador Vyacheslav Jatsuk says the most important aid Ukraine can receive at this point in time is military support.

He’s asking Norway to send aircraft, air defense weapons, tanks, and other powerful weapons to the Ukrainian defense.

He emphasizes that financial, humanitarian, and other support is also important. In addition, he called for a trade boycott of Russia, and for the sanctions to be extended to Belarus.

He also claimed that Belarus is involved in the war on the part of Russia. In addition, he noted that refugees from Ukraine with non-Western backgrounds are rejected and discriminated against on the border with Poland.

Jatsuk believes Russia must now be expelled from the UN for its hostilities.

  1. NO.
The most important support Peace Prize Norway can give to Ukraine is aiding the peace process by persuading the Ukrainians to agree to the Russians’ basic conditions:
    – strict neutrality with no NATO or other military alliance membership and no foreign military bases or exercise
    – Russia keeps the Crimea and East Ukraine breakaway provinces, since Kiev 2014 was an externally agitated and aggravated – the Right Sector snipers – coup, overthrowing the legal government.
Sending more weapons will only mean more death and suffering for both Ukrainians and Russians and will require the Russians to go nuclear.
