According to the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence, Russia now has a plan to split Ukraine into two parts.

In a statement, Kyrylo Budanov pointed out that Russia has not managed to conquer all of Ukraine.

He believes the Russian army has changed its strategy and now has the goal of splitting the country and establishing a larger Russian-controlled region.

“This is an attempt to create North and South Korea in Ukraine,” Budanov said in a statement, according to The Guardian.

He warns that Ukraine will quickly launch guerrilla warfare in the Russian-occupied territory.

Russian-backed rebels have controlled areas of eastern Ukraine since 2014.
