Sandefjord Airport Torp expects Ukrainian refugees to arrive at the airport as a result of Wizz Air’s offer of free travel to Ukrainian refugees in March.
Tine Kleive-Mathisen, the marketing manager at the airport, confirmed the information to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
According to the BBC, Wizz Air will offer hundreds of thousands of free tickets to Ukrainian refugees, and they can be used on short-haul flights.
Refugees will be able to fly for free on departures from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania during March. Wizz Air has several flights between Sandefjord and Eastern European cities.
According to Mathisen, between 10 and 20 refugees have already landed at Torp.
