Ullevål hospital: 13 employees and five patients test positive for coronavirus at orthopedic department

A total of 13 employees and five patients have tested positive for COVID-19 at the orthopedic department at Ullevål hospital. Furthermore, 20 employees are quarantined.

“The original source of infection is not known. Infection detection and testing are ongoing,” the hospital stated in a press release.

“We are prioritizing intensive care and children. Rikshospitalet is assisting us in the treatment of children,” the hospital wrote.

They stated that all patients who have tested positive had been discharged from the department. 

Six patients who are not infected are isolated and will receive treatment as planned. Planned admissions to the department have been stopped.
