The police in Bergen are asking for tips after a young girl reported that she was raped in Nygårdsparken by an unknown man on Tuesday, December 21.
The Bergen police have started a rape investigation and are looking for a man with a hoodie who has been spotted on surveillance footage.
Police attorney Celin Hauge Andersen told the newspaper Bergens Tidende that the victim in the case is under 18 years old. The incident took place in Nygårdsparken between 9:00 and 9:30 PM on December 21.
“We have not yet questioned witnesses who have seen the incident. We want to get in touch with people who have heard or seen something,” Andersen said.

The wanted man is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, thin, dark-skinned with dark eyes, black hair, a beard, and a scar on the cheek.
“The case is being investigated at the Bergen city center police station and is in an early phase. The police have obtained video surveillance footage and analyzed electronic traces,” a press release states.
