Update: 1,125 new corona cases registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 1,125 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 484 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 900 corona infection cases has been registered per day.

The corresponding average seven days ago was 534, so the trend is rising.

On Friday, 121 corona patients were hospitalized in Norway – 14 more than the day before. Out of the total, 29 patients were in the intensive care unit, and among them, eleven were on respirators, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.

As of midnight on Saturday, 8.0 million corona tests had been performed in the country since February last year. A total of 205,855 people tested positive.

To date, 4,203,983 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 3,739,741 people have received the second dose.
