In the last 24 hours, 1,180 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 523 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 796 corona infections has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 447, so the trend is rising.

On Wednesday, 101 corona patients were hospitalized in Norway – five fewer than the day before.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview, thirty of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them, 16 are on a respirator.

A total of 900 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. It is not always possible to establish whether patients died of or with COVID-19.
