Update: 1,219,883 Norwegians have received the first dose of the corona vaccine

A total of 1,219,883 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) statistics show on Tuesday.

Furthermore, 308,930 people have received the second dose. On Monday, 1,909 people received the first dose, and 458 people received the second dose.

Most people received the first dose in Viken (291,430) and Oslo (159,198). The fewest first doses have been administered in Troms and Finnmark (54,089) and Nordland (57.208).

Most people have been given the second dose in the counties of Viken (73,385) and Oslo (37,058).

The first corona vaccine in Norway – the one produced by Pfizer and BioNTech – was administered on December 27.

On January 15, the first dose of the Moderna vaccine was administered, and on February 7, the AstraZeneca vaccine was given to healthcare professionals. AstraZeneca vaccination has been suspended following reports of possible serious side effects.
