Update: 1,470 new corona infection cases have been registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 1,470 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 314 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 2,055 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 1,667, so the trend is rising.

On Friday, 222 corona patients in Norway were hospitalized – 57 of the patients were in intensive care, and, among them, 34 were on respirators, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview. The figures are not updated on weekends.

As of Monday, 8.3 million corona tests had been performed in the country since February last year. A total of 242,911 people tested positive.

To date, 4,225,203 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 3,785,677 people have received the second dose.
