Update: 168 corona-infected patients currently hospitalized in Norway – 47 more than on Friday

On Monday, 168 corona-infected patients were hospitalized in Norway – an increase of 47 patients from Friday.

There have not been as many corona patients admitted to hospitals since April 30. 

Furthermore, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview, 14 of the patients are on respirators, and 32 are in the intensive care unit.

627 new cases registered in the last 24 hours 

In the last 24 hours, 627 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 203 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 966 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 595, so the trend is rising.

As of Monday, 8.0 million corona tests had been performed in the country since February last year. A total of 207,280 people tested positive.

To date, 4,204,907 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 3,741,869 people have received the second dose.
