Update: 1,762 new corona infection cases registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 1,762 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 256 more than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 1,609 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 1,277, so the trend is rising.

On Friday, 190 corona patients were hospitalized in Norway – six more than the day before.

A total of 58 of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them, 28 are on a respirator, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.

As of Saturday, 8.2 million corona tests had been performed in the country since February last year. A total of 226,064 people tested positive for corona.

To date, 4,219,037 people received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 3,772,054 people received the second dose.
