Update: 247 new corona cases registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 247 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That’s 62 fewer cases than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 408 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 424, so the trend is now declining.

In Oslo, 63 new corona infection cases have been registered in the last 24 hours – 18 below the average for the previous seven days. In the last two weeks, an average of 93 infection cases has been registered per day.

As of midnight on Monday night, 5.3 million corona tests had been performed in Norway since February last year. A total of 119,299 people tested positive for coronavirus.

To date, 1,556,905 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 574,194 people have received the second dose.

On Sunday, 107 corona patients were hospitalized – two fewer than the day before.
