Update: 4,184 new omicron cases have been confirmed in Norway since Thursday

A total of 16,312 cases of the omicron variant have been detected in Norway so far. Out of the total, 4,184 were detected since Thursday, according to the FHI.

The first case of omicron in Norway was detected on December 1, 2021, from samples taken in the last week in November. A total of 16,312 confirmed cases have been confirmed since then.

So far this week, no new patients have been admitted to Norwegian hospitals with the omicron variant.
