Update: 4,290 new corona cases registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 4,290 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 1,451 fewer than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 4,152 corona infection cases have been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 4,925, so the trend is declining.

On Wednesday, 316 corona patients were hospitalized in Norway – 21 fewer than the day before. Out of the total, 124 patients were in intensive care, and, among them, 76 were on respirators, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.

As of Thursday, 9 million corona tests had been performed in the country since February last year. A total of 363,554 people tested positive.

To date, 4,276,331 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, 3,908,161 people have received the second dose, and 1,370,045 have received the third dose.
