Update: 87.1% of the adult population in Norway is fully vaccinated

A total of 4,214,782 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, the FHI’s statistics showed on Wednesday. Furthermore, 3,762,258 people have received the second dose.

Thus, 78.2% of the population has received the first dose, while 69.8% of the population is fully vaccinated. For the population over the age of 18, the proportions are 91.4% and 87.1%, respectively.

Among young people aged 16–17, 91% received the first dose, and 25.1% received the second dose. At the age of 12–15, the proportions are 72.3% and 0.9%, respectively.

On Tuesday, 1,195 people received the first dose, and 3,063 people received the second dose, according to the FHI.

Norway started its corona vaccination program on December 27, 2020. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are in use today, but people can also apply for the Janssen vaccine. Norway decided to stop all use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in March.
