Update: A total of 172,897 Norwegians have received the first dose of the corona vaccine

A total of 172,897 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) statistics showed on Monday. 

A total of 45,118 people received the second dose.

According to the FHI, 10,785 people received the first dose over the weekend, and 5,523 people received the second dose.

Most people have received the first dose in Viken (37,540) and Oslo (22,856). The fewest doses were administered in Troms and Finnmark (7,312) and Møre og Romsdal (8,059). 

Most people have recieved the second dose in the counties of Viken (8,074) and Vestland (4,647).

The first corona vaccine in Norway – the one produced by Pfizer and BioNTech – was administered on December 27.

On January 15, the first dose of the Moderna vaccine was administered.
