In the last 24 hours, 245 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 207 fewer than the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 384 corona infection cases has been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 415, so the trend is declining.

In Oslo, 36 new corona infection cases have been registered in the last 24 hours – 17 fewer than the average for the previous seven days.

On weekends and public holidays, fewer tests are taken than on weekdays, so the number of registered cases of infection can be somewhat misleading.

Vaccination: 1,631,293 people have received the first dose

As of midnight on Sunday night, 5.6 million corona tests had been performed in Norway since February last year. A total of 124,655 people tested positive for coronavirus.

To date, 1,631,293 people in Norway have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 967,110 people have received the second dose.

On Saturday, 81 corona patients were hospitalized – four fewer than the day before.

A total of 783 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. It is not always possible to establish whether the patients have died of or with COVID-19.
