A man in his 60s is accused of abusing his mentally disabled daughter.
The man in his 60s must appear in Vestre Innlandet District Court on Monday. He is charged with sexual abuse of his daughter, who is mildly mentally disabled, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.
The man is accused of getting the daughter pregnant. The abuse allegedly started in 2011 and lasted for seven years, even after the daughter gave birth to the child.
According to the indictment, the daughter has been subjected to serious sexual abuse for years.
“The case is clearly a big burden for my client. It will be good for her to get it over with,” her daughter’s lawyer Aina Heldal Bøe stated.
The trial starts on Monday, November 15.
