According to newspaper VG, Greece has selected 30 refugees from the Moria camp that will be relocated to Norway.
“We have received a list of names from Greece. Until now, the case has been in the hands of the Greek authorities, and we have pushed for clarification,” Minister of Education and Integration Guri Melby (V) told VG.
The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) will now carry out a security and ID check.
“It is currently 30 people, so we are well on our way to the 50 we have promised to take in,” Minister for Children and Families Kjell Ingolf Ropstad (KrF) said.
He says that the first 30 will probably arrive in Norway in January.
