Even before air traffic started on Monday, 123 cancellations had been reported, the newspaper VG writes.

On the night before Sunday, the conflict between NHO Luftfart and the Norwegian Aircraft Engineers’ Organization (NFO) escalated with a lockout, and 450 aircraft technicians were not allowed to go to work.

According to information collected by VG, 199 departures were canceled on Sunday. On the night before Monday, 123 canceled flights had been registered for Monday. Widerøe alone canceled 104 flights.

“We try as best we can to carry out flights on routes between Bergen and Tromsø, but also international flights,” communications manager Catharina Solli said on Sunday night.

SAS has so far canceled 17 flights on Monday (seven domestic and ten international flights), but the company says the cancellations are not due to the lockout. Norwegian has canceled two domestic departures.

  1. tHANKS FOR YOUR DAILY INFORMATION…REGARDING FLIGHTS EXCEPT WIDEROE FOR THOSE WE KNOW THE REASON WHY THEY ARE NOT OPERTING(THAT IS A SCANDAL) BUT WHY SAS IS CANCELLING FLIGHTS AND NOBODY IS DOING NOTHING? WHERE IS THE HONNOR CODE THAT IS PROTECTING PASSENGERS? WHERE IS THE INTERNATIONAL COURT THAT SHOULD FINE THEM? IT IS NOT POSSIBILE THAT AIRLINES ARE ACTING IN THIS WAY AND THE ONLY ONES PAYING THEIR TROUBLES ARE THE PASSENGERS..ISNT’IT?
