VG: Employee at the Prime Minister’s Office charged with using state apartment without permission

A former employee of the Prime Minister’s Office (SMK) is charged with gross financial infidelity after allegedly using a state apartment without permission.

Anne Kristin Hjukse, head of communications at the SMK, told the newspaper that the accused chose to resign with immediate effect.

Section leader Rune Skjold at the Oslo Police District says that the person in question is being investigated according to section 391 of the Criminal Code, which deals with gross financial infidelity.

The person in question has been charged in the case after the police seized digital devices.
