Voss Municipality introduces new corona measures
From Tuesday, Voss is introducing new corona measures due to high infection rates. Kindergartens and schools will operate at the “yellow” level, and the infection quarantine will be reintroduced for young people.
“The reason (for the new measures) is the infection situation, along with very extensive testing and infection tracking work,” the Municipality stated in a press release.
A total of several hundred close contacts are being processed. That has led to intense pressure on the test center capacity.
Therefore, Voss is reintroducing the infection quarantine for young people even though the national guidelines allow the removal of this type of quarantine for people under the age of 18 if they are tested frequently after close contact with an infected person.
On Friday, the Municipality reported an increasing infection trend, with 23 new corona cases in the last week.
