On Wednesday, a lot of precipitation is expected in Western Norway, which can lead to flash floods and landslides. Meteorologists have issued hazard warning.
Locally there may be between 30 and 50 millimeters of precipitation in six hours or 50 to 70 millimeters in 12 hours, reports the Meteorological Institute. Where the rainfall may accumulate is somewhat uncertain, but most rain is expected in Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane. However, the hazard warning also applies to Møre og Romsdal.
It poses a risk of local floods, levy and river overflow, land and mudslides in steep terrain.
