Windy weather is expected in Eastern Norway during the next couple of days. It is expected to calm down on Saturday.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute issued a danger warning for Innlandet on Wednesday. On Thursday, meteorologists published a summary of the ten strongest gusts in Norway.

“Lillehammer had the strongest gusts in Innlandet county, with winds of 12.7 meters per second, corresponding to a light gale. At Nordre Kanken in Trysil, which is 1,020 meters above sea level, there has been a full storm,” on-duty state meteorologist Pernille Borander told the newspaper VG.

The north wind will continue, leading to a small and stiff gale in exposed places on the coast and in the Oslo Fjord.

“It will gradually decrease towards the weekend, and it will calm down completely on Saturday,” she noted.
