The employee in the Western Police District, who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with making threats, has been released. The Southwestern Police District has taken over the investigation.

Police attorney Torbjørg Ristesund in the Southwestern Police District states in a press release that the investigation is in its initial phase. Therefore, they can’t comment on details.

“What we can say is that the accused is a man in his 40s. He was released yesterday. We will now familiarize ourselves with the case and assess which investigative steps are to be carried out,” Ristesund added.

The man is charged with making threats under the Penal Code §263 and is suspended from his position in the Western Police District.
