Winter temperatures coming for real this week
There will be strong wind, snow and temperatures all the way down to minus 20 degrees in northern parts of the country and in southern Norway in the days to come.
From now until the next weekend, the first taste of this year’s winter will come. According to the Meteorological Institute, night temperatures could drop to as much as minus 20 degrees in the mountainous regions of southern Norway.
“This weekend, Eastern Norway and Troms seem to have the driest spells, while Helgeland and the north of Western Norway will receive a lot of rain. In Nord-Troms and Finnmark there is snow in the lowlands. The snow is now beginning to creep downwards in the rest of the country as well,” the meteorologists wrote on Twitter.
