Woman killed in a shooting incident in central Oslo

One woman has been confirmed dead after a shooting episode in central Oslo. The police have arrested another person.

The police reported the incident at 8:44 AM on Wednesday.

According to several media, the incident happened on Frogner.

“There was a bleeding person on the street,” a passing witness told newspaper VG, adding that there are three to four people on the site, as well as several police cars.

“It looked like they were looking for something,” the witness said.

Woman shot and killed

Operations Manager Gjermund Stokkli in the Oslo Police District told newspaper Aftenposten that a woman was shot on an open street in Tostrups gate in Frogner.

Stokkli told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that one person has been arrested.

According to news bureau NTB, police have arrested a man in a car on E18.
