Two women in their 20s have been hospitalized in Skien after a traffic accident on county road 363 in Kragerø on Thursday night.

There were four people in the car when it drove off the road around midnight.

“Two women who were sitting in the back of the car without seatbelts were injured. One of them seriously, according to on-site health personnel. Both have been transported to the hospital in Skien by an ambulance,” operations manager Eskil Hagen Olsen in the Southeastern Police District told news bureau NTB.

The man who drove the car had just received his driver’s license but has now been deprived of it.

“He has been reported for reckless driving. We have taken samples and have no suspicion of driving under the influence,” the operations manager added.
