Heavy rain is expected to increase the water flow in several rivers in Trøndelag. The NVE has issued a yellow danger warning for rain, floods, and landslides.

According to the warning service Varsom.no, the water flow is expected to increase in both smaller and larger rivers in the warning-affected area due to heavy rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Some major landslides and floods may occur, and exposed sections of roads may be closed.

“50-80 millimeters of precipitation is expected in 24 hours in Trøndelag from Tuesday to Wednesday. With current forecasts, inland areas are considered most exposed to landslides,” Varsom.no warned.
