The NVE has issued a yellow danger warning for floods in connection with the large amounts of precipitation that are expected in Møre og Romsdal and parts of Trøndelag.

“There is a danger of surface water in densely populated areas, local floods, stream and river course changes, landslides, and floods where the rain showers hit,” the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) wrote in the warning.

The directorate advises people to secure and move valuables away from vulnerable areas, such as basements, cars, caravans, and the like along rivers and streams.

“Clean gutters and other waterways so that the water can flow unhindered where it usually flows. Stay away from rivers and streams with large water flows,” the NVE added.

The danger warning applies to the whole of Møre og Romsdal and central parts of Trøndelag.
