“Sweden has provided the largest aid to Ukraine, for which I am very grateful,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the Swedish Parliament on Thursday.
He began the video speech by talking about the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian and Swedish flags.
“We stand for freedom, justice, and that all people are equally valuable,” he said.
Zelenskyy further said that the Russian attacks destroyed schools, hospitals, and infrastructure in Ukraine.
He asked the Swedes for help in rebuilding the country. He also called on the entire West to impose further sanctions on Russia.
