Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned UN chief António Guterres’ upcoming trip to Moscow, saying Guterres should have traveled to Ukraine first.

At a press conference on Saturday, Zelensky called Guterres’ visit to Moscow illogical and unfair.

“He should have seen the atrocities in Ukraine before he went to Moscow to ask questions there,” Zelensky said.

Guterres’ office has so far not commented on the criticism.

Guterres travels to Moscow on Tuesday to meet with President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

At the press conference, Zelensky also said that Russia should no longer be allowed to be a member of the UN Security Council.
