A new documentary series will follow Norwegian golfer Viktor Hovland and his fellow PGA colleagues documenting the 2022 season.

Collaboration between PGA and Netflix to show season tour

A new Netflix documentary series will closely follow the everyday lives, on and off the golf course, of Norwegian professional golfer, Viktor Hovland, and many of his colleagues. The producers of the hit Netflix show “Drive to Survive” hope to capitalize on this format to document the highs and lows of the professional golf circuit.

PGA Tour media director Rick Andersen said, in a press release, that “the collaboration with Netflix gives the PGA Tour and the four major tournaments an opportunity to gain access to a completely new and different audience. This documentary series will give fans a unique insight into our athletes’ real lives, and what it means to win and lose through a season on the tour.”

Hovland camera shy but many stars will feature

It appears, however, that Hovland, from Oslo and currently the World Number 6, may indeed be a bit camera shy.

He told Eurosport that “I’m not very much of a fan of having a camera team in tow all the time, but we’ll see…”

Many of his colleagues will feature alongside him such as Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, and the world’s best-ranked amateur, Keita Nakajima.
