Findings Festival at Bislett in Oslo is off. Organizers state a lack of response from the government as the reason for the cancellation.

“Unfortunately, a lack of response from the government means that it is not possible to carry out Findings this year,” said organizer and co-owner of Sky Agency Trond Opsahl in a press release.

Dagbladet wrote about the cancellation first, after previously noting that the festival was in danger of being called off.

“We wanted to collaborate on conducting a test event when we saw that the government reopening was slow. We have tried to get in touch with the authorities but do not get proper answers. We’ve become a ball tossed back and forth in the system. So, we are now canceling,” said Opsahl.

The festival, which should have been held on September 10 and 11, has gathered around 20,000 spectators per day in recent years. Alan Walker, Tiesto, and Astrid S were among artists set to perform.

Everyone who bought tickets will have the opportunity to get a refund -or transfer the ticket to 2022. Next year’s Findings Festival is slated for August 19-20.
